I have a JVC CH X350 12 cd stacker. My old head unit has given up the ghost and I have optained a Sony CDX-R6750 head unit. When the two are connected up, I can eject and reload the cassette but cannot get any cds to play. Are these two items compatable or do I have some other problem.

The pin configurations in the control cable between the head unit and CD changer will almost certainly be incompatible. I very much doubt you'd find an adaptor off-the-shelf to match the two together (if anyone knows of one, please post here), so the only way would be to have an adaptor custom made. That's likely to be fairly pricey as a one-off, but you may find an engineer in a repair/service company (one that does both Sony and JVC products) willing to have a go.
