You will need to pull the radio from the dashboard to read the numbers we need from its chassis - this will be on a printed label, engraved on the metal case, or both. Extraction 'keys' (often of the type shown opposite) are required to remove the radio - don't be tempted to try removing the radio another way or force it as you may damage the surrounding dashboard trim. The keys make it very easy - there are several different types and you can find them in motoring stores or online, such as the choice of radio removal keys here.
Our service is personal, not automated. If you are not sure which numbers to give, provide us with all the numbers you see on the outside of the casing and we will check them for you. Labels will often have been applied to the case of the radio so that they overlap the back and top, or top and side panels. Look to see if such a label is torn along the line where the panels meet and let us know if you see this. It might indicate the radio has been previously repaired.
We aim to respond by email within 2 hours Monday-Friday.
Not all codes for Citroen radios can be found using the serial number. Codes for many of the Clarion manufactured radios (model numbers starting PU) can only be recovered from Citroen's VIN database and you should contact a Citroen dealership. Some older Clarion radios have a second number on the casing (in addition to the one that starts CL) similar to C70000004524 (always starts with C7); we ARE ABLE to decode these, but only those with the C7 number.
Is your Citroen radio beeping all the time? Did you buy it second-hand (not the car's original radio)? The constant beeping is usually a sign that the VIN/chassis number programmed into the radio does not match the one stored in your vehicle's B.S.I (Built-In Systems) interface. The only solution is to go to your Citroen dealership or a mechanic that has the Citroen programmer so that they can match the two embedded codes.
Unlock codes for most of the Siemens VDO radios need to be retrieved from the VIN database accessed only by Citroen dealers.
