You will need to pull the radio from the dashboard to read the numbers we need from its chassis - this will be on a printed label, engraved on the metal case, or both. Extraction 'keys' (often of the type shown opposite) are required to remove the radio - don't be tempted to try removing the radio another way or force it as you may damage the surrounding dashboard trim. The keys make it very easy - there are several different types and you can find them in motoring stores or online, such as the choice of radio removal keys here.

Our service is personal, not automated. If you are not sure which numbers to give, provide us with all the numbers you see on the outside of the casing and we will check them for you. Labels will often have been applied to the case of the radio so that they overlap the back and top, or top and side panels. Look to see if such a label is torn along the line where the panels meet and let us know if you see this. It might indicate the radio has been previously repaired.

Not all codes for Mercedes radios can be found using the serial number. Codes for some Alpine models (notably the often requested MF2910) can only be recovered from manufacturer's VIN database and so for those you should contact your nearest Mercedes Benz dealership. The same applies to some of the Becker models including BE4400, BE4500, BE4717, BE4718 & BE6010.
