New Alpine iPod Video Interface

Alpine Electronics has announced the introduction of their KCE-415i iPod Video Interface, which makes it easy to use an iPod video player in your car.

The device allows control of the main iPod features directly from an Alpine MM (MultiMedia) station or overhead monitor (Play/Pause, Skip FW/BW), provided the video files are arranged in playlists. Control can be via an Alpine Head Unit, Remote control or the iPod itself, while the Search function is available via the iPod or Remote controller.

The KCE-415i interface is seen by the system as an external DVD source and allows the iPod to be switched on/off with the car's ignition, and the iPod's battery will be charged whilst connected to the interface. To start it up, just press PLAY on the Monitor or on the Remote control. The iPod should be installed so that it's visible in the car in order to view the menu during use.

The KCE-415i provides Composite or S-Video output and has an RRP of £69.90.
